October 27, 2022 – The Department of Education Region IV-A (CALABARZON) would like to clarify that there is no truth in the reports that some learners of Aplaya National High School – Annex (APEX), Santa Rosa City will allegedly be studying in a construction site of an unfinished school building.

APEX learners will use two school buildings with 24 classrooms that were already completed and turned over to the Schools Division Office of Santa Rosa City. These school buildings, which will temporarily accommodate a portion of the 3,958 learners of APEX, are located in a site intended for Santa Rosa Science and Technology High School (SRSTHS).

According to SDO Santa Rosa City, as of this date, the installation of a gate, partition walls between the two buildings and the building being constructed, the landscaping of the site premises, and minor repairs to the two buildings are ongoing and are set to be completed before November 2, 2022.

The Department of Education Region IV-A (CALABARZON) assures the public of its commitment to put premium in the well-being and safety of the learners in preparation for the full implementation of five-day in-person classes this coming November 2, 2022.
