ANGONO, RIZAL, 26 August 2026—Four public schools in Rizal Province received office furniture transferred from the Office of the President (OP) to strengthen basic education operations and enhance administrative readiness.
The ceremonial turnover highlighted the reallocation of previously assigned OP office items to help enhance learning spaces and faculty workspaces in the province.
Managed through the OP’s Assets Management Office (AMO), the inventory transfer supports the Department of Education’s (DepEd) efforts to optimize resources for public basic education institutions.
Through the turnover, San Vicente Elementary School in Angono acquired 21 furniture units and setups, including executive and junior executive tables, clerical desks, executive chairs, office chairs and tables, dining table, coffee tables, plant box cabinets, and multiple steel filing units.
Doña Justa Guido Memorial School, also in Angono, received 19 furniture units consisting of executive, junior executive, and clerical desks; executive and clerical chairs; long table; mobile pedestals; plant box cabinets; a wooden cabinet; and a steel filing cabinet.
Pag-asa National High School in Binangonan was provided with 20 furniture units, which included conference tables, executive desks, an executive chair, round and center tables, clerical desks, back storage cabinets, modular partitions, a computer table, and lateral steel filing cabinets.
Meanwhile, St. Anthony Elementary School Annex in Cainta received 39 furniture and equipment items, including clerical and typing workstations, junior executive desks, high-back conference and executive chairs, bookcases, display and steel filing cabinets, coffee table set, plant box cabinets, a television, and a 14-piece series of framed historical portraits of Philippine presidents.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara highlighted the administrative collaboration between the executive branch and local public schools as an essential driver for educational reform.
“Nagpapasalamat tayo sa Office of the President at kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa patuloy na pag-alalay sa ating mga paaralan. Sa pamamagitan ng muling paggamit at paglalaan ng mga kagamitang ito sa ating mga paaralan, napapakinabangan natin nang husto ang mga resources ng gobyerno habang nagbibigay ng maayos at komportableng espasyo para sa ating mga guro at kawani,” Angara said.
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the recipient schools, San Vicente Elementary School principal Ma. Lourdes P. Arabit expressed their gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the Office of the President: “Your kindness, generosity, and support are invaluable contributions to the continuous improvement of our school facilities and to creating a more comfortable, appropriate, and conducive environment for our teachers and the entire school community,” the school said in a statement.
Doña Justa Guido Memorial Elementary School noted the profound impact on their operational services, with school head Neldina Dela Torre saying, “Ang inyong malasakit at suporta ay malaking ambag sa patuloy na pagpapabuti ng ating mga pasilidad at sa pagkakaroon ng mas maayos at mas angkop na kapaligiran para sa mga gawain at serbisyo ng paaralan.”
Pag-asa National High School Principal Zaldy D. Del Rosario emphasized the broader benefit to learners: “Ang mga donasyong ito ay malaking tulong sa patuloy nating pagsisikap na mapabuti ang ating learning environment at makapagbigay ng mas maayos, ligtas, at komportableng lugar para sa pagkatuto ng ating mga mag-aaral.”
Saint Anthony Elementary School–Lower Cuatro Annex Principal Rhea Tolentino shared how the donation integrates with their ongoing programs: “These surely support our school’s The FIXED Project towards enhancing our learning environment where we all feel proud to be taken care of. Hindi lamang po ito mga kasangkapan, kundi isang magandang pagpapakita ng malasakit at suporta sa aming paaralan.”
Moreover, Schools Division Superintendent of Rizal Dr. Doris D.J. Estalilla emphasized that furniture and fixtures are a symbol of appreciation and a reward for the hard work and sacrifices of our teachers and DepEd officials in enhancing the skills, talents, and intellect of every Rizaleño.
“This turnover is a clear manifestation of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s genuine love for our teachers and learners, especially given how many other government departments were eligible to receive these assets. More than just saving funds for the local government, this donation serves as an instrument enabling our students to stay comfortable, strive for excellence, and explore greater horizons—all while symbolizing our shared commitment to public service carried out with deep integrity,” she added.
