DepEd CALABARZON bags the 2nd place in the first ever National Search for the Most Outstanding Implementer of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for SY 2020-2021. The region won second in the following categories: school implementer, school coordinator, division, and regional coordinator.

The first National Search for the Most Outstanding Implementer of the School-Based Feeding Program for SY 2020-2021 aimed to recognize the hard work and efforts of the program implementers amidst the pandemic while showcasing and sharing their best practices in each governance level.

The awarding ceremony was conducted on December 2, 2021, attended by the Education Support Services Division Chief Eduarda M. Zapanta, SBFP Regional Coordinator Neil B. Evangelista, Schools Division Superintendent Elias A. Alicaya Jr., SBFP Division Coordinators Ma. Teresita Abella and Maria Nerissa Diego, Public Schools District Supervisor of Lopez East Rejulius Villenes, Lopez District Nurse Aim Santander, Lalaguna I Elementary School Principal Grace Salvatus, and School SBFP Coordinator Cherry Escobar.

The 2nd place award for DepEd CALABARZON was announced by Undersecretary Analyn M. Sevilla. Regional Director Francis Cesar B. Bringas delivered his response message on behalf of all the awardees recognizing SBFP as an important support service to education, he also expressed his sincerest gratitude to the winners and to all the implementers of the SBFP. Aside from the prestige and honors, DepEd CALABARZON will receive PHP 25,000.00 for the Regional level, PHP 35,000.00 for the Division level, and PHP 75,000.00 for the school level.
