SDO Lucena City honored teaching related and non-teachning personnel in Gawad Tagapamanihala at Queen Margarette Hotel, Lucena City, December 12 to 13, 2019.

The Exemplary Service Awardees were ADAS II Josephine  Ambeguia, EPSp-II Barbara Jane E. Barron, and SEPS Azalea M. Gallano who served have served 15 years. ASDS Babylyn M. Pambid, EPS Dexter M. Valle, AO V Rufo S. La Rosa, and PSDS Sorina P. Gloria received the same award for their 20 years of service. In addition, PSDS Nancy P. La Rosa, PSDS Guillermo M. Flores, and PSDS Pablito R. Alay  served 25 years while  Isidro M. Zoleta and  Mo. Carmelo Fisico were honored for 35 years of service in DepEd Lucena City.

Moreover, Roselyn Q. Golfo was awarded as Outstanding Education Program Supervisor, Milagros R. Lindain for being the Outstanding Public Schools District Supervisor, Rhea A. Mojica as Outstanding Non-Teaching Personnel – Level II, and Monamae M. Batocabe as Outstanding Non-Teaching/Teaching-Related Personnel – Level I.

The awardees were evaluated by the division committees, screening personnel from different offices/ units, and selected panels. They were chosen from among finalists in their functional divisions who showed exemplary performance, leadership, and social responsibility as stated in the criteria.

Dr. Luzviminda G. Calzado graced the said activity as the guest speaker. She emphasized the six significant letters in the word PRAISE, an acronym from the DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2002, Establishing the Program (PR) on Awards (A) and Incentives (I) for Service (S) Excellence (E). She also recognized the awardees as the future recipients of PRAISE, Natatanging Lucenahin, Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan and Metrobank Awardees. She also shared that an awardee must have 3 H’s –  head, heart, and hand for quality service.

On the second day, Schools Division Superintendent Hermogenes M. Panganiban discussed that the importance of goal and vision setting to be an effective and committed member of the work force is to reap success with peace and love in the heart. He emphasized that extraordinary services in the public interest and other personal efforts contribute to the efficiency, economy, and component in government operations which would lead to organizational productivity.
