In line with SDO Cavite Province’s target of providing complete implementation of and compliance to the K to 12 basic education curriculum through learning resource provision, the Division Learning Resources Management Section (LRMS) conducted a two-day division training workshop for Division Learning Resource Evaluators at Bulwagang Tanglaw DepEd Cavite on August 8 to 9.
The said activity mainly targeted the strengthening of the development of local learning resources which are Quality Assured by the Division Learning Resource Evaluators (DLRE) of the different learning areas including Kindergarden, SPED/Inclusive Education, and Alternative Learning System.
A total of 119 evaluators actively participated in the said activity regardless of the harsh weather and class suspension brought by monsoon rains.
“Ito ang napapanahong dapat na gawin ng mga teachers in consonance sa program I-LIKHA,” said Noel S. Ortega, LRMS Supervisor.
I-LIKHA, which stands for Indijinisasyon at Lokalisasyon, Iugnay sa Karunungan at Hubog ng Aralin, is one of the seven PPAs of Cavite’s Curriculum Implementation Division that focuses on the development of the locally-produced Learning Resources for teaching and learning process.
Ortega also added that the LRMS Team targets a ‘complete package’ of locally-developed Learning Resources to be used by the teachers especially for those grade levels with incomplete materials.
The team will be focusing on the inclusion of non-print materials such as video lessons in the upcoming trainings and quarterly evaluations aside from the print materials regularly submitted by the teachers. (Julie Anne V. Vertudes, Project Development Officer II-LRMS, DepEd Cavite Province)
