In response to Deped Order No. 9, s. 2002 titled Establishing the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) in the Department of Education, Cuenca District, the local government, and other stakeholders recognized outstanding teachers in the district’s 1st Gawad TaGaMaSID (Talino, Galing at Mahusay na Serbisyo na may Integridad at Dangal) Awarding Ceremony at Cuenca Central Covered Court, Cuenca, Batangas held on July 19.
Gawad TaGaMaSID acknowledged exemplary performances of teachers and non-teaching personnel that gave recognition to their schools by aiming to improve the quality of education and professional development. Exemplary performance of schools was also recognized
“Ito ang tinatawag na bayanihan para sa patuloy na kaunlaran,” said Mayor Faye Endaya Barretto through Councilor Nina Verdan Alvarez.
Public Schools District Supervisor Nenita A. Adame also gave words of inspiration to the awardees and guests. “To be a great employee, hindi lang external motivation ang kasiyahan. Ang tunay na paglilingkod ay galing sa puso at personal na intension,” Adame said.
With the support of stakeholders, major awards were given to educators which are the following: Outstanding Brigada Eskwela Implementer, Outstanding Teachers and School Heads in Elementary and Secondary, Non-Teaching Personnel, Campus Journalism and Sports.
