In return, they would play a key role in their school and division as reading coordinators.

Elpidia B. Bergado, RACAS President and Cavite Province CID Chief, said that these reading specialists are expected to serve their school and division in intensifying students’ (of any grade level) reading abilities, and competencies.

“Each scholar is expected to plan and design appropriate reading program in their respective school, validate results, and if found effective, should conduct the same reading program in their division,” Bergado further stressed.

RACAS aims to upgrade and boost the reading performance of all the students from Kinder to Grade 12 in the entire region, thus set goals for “Batang CALABARZON” to perform better and achieve higher academically.

As a return of investment, these scholars will support RACAS activities for two years as trainer/resource speaker/facilitator in any training to be conducted by RACAS. (Desiree D. Vista, Teacher III, San Jose NHS- Senior High School)
