Armed with determination and talent, Talipan National High School (TNHS) successfully defended their crown as overall champion during the 4th LINGAP Cluster III Camp held at Silangang Malicboy National High School (SMNHS), February 22.

Focusing on this year’s theme “KASAYSAYAN: Tanglaw ng Kasalukuyan at Gabay sa Kinabukasan”, all of 14 participants who represented TNHS won in their respective competitions.

The Documentary Team composed of Christopher De La Cruz, Marco B. Danez, Reniel D. Ayaton, Angela Rose Castro, Mary Noreibelle Conjares and Katrina Enobal with their coaches Mildred U. Medenilla, Ivy Aurellano and consultant Jomar Levi Pornobi bagged the Documentary of the Year award.

Also, the duo of Jiselle Milo and Edrien Martinez, together with their coaches Charise Daa, Mary Angeli Lusanta and Peter Shaun Fernandez, earned first place in Poster-Essay Contest while Grade 10 student Genevieve Concepcion also ranked first in the Slogan Contest.

Showcasing her remarkable voice, Abegail Pastrana delivered a powerful performance and placed first as well in the Vocal Solo competition. Pastrana was mentored by her coaches Edgardo Serrano and Raymark Monteverde.

Meanwhile, the group composed of Kent Aaron Quinto, Rosemarie Fondevilla, Janele Rustia and Ronan Revillosa settled for third place in the Quiz Bee competition with their mentor Allen Cristal Pasoot.

“Ito ‘yung pang-apat na naming participation [sa LINGAP Camp] and our second year as overall champion. Hopefully, magtuloy-tuloy next year para maging Hall of Famer kami (TNHS),” said Rodante C. De Castro, TNHS Head Teacher for Araling Panlipunan.

The 4th LINGAP Camp was participated by 10 schools namely, Paaralang Sekundarya ng Lucban of Lucban, Quezon, Dr. Maria D. Pastrana National HS and Manuel S. Enverga University School of Arts and Trades from Mauban, Quezon, Sampaloc National High School and Adela Estores NHS from Sampaloc, Quezon and Pagbilao NHS, Pagbilao Grande Island NHS, Silangang Malicboy NHS, Binhaan Integrated School and Talipan National High School from Pagbilao District I and II.
