School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) of Lucena conducted their 2017 Midyear Performance Review and Workshop for Implementation Plan Adjustments at Queen Margarette Hotel, Lucena City on August 15-16.
The activity aimed to review the targets and accomplishments of SGOD personnel; modify the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) and Work Financial Plan; align Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) per section and Annual Procurement Plan (APP) of SGOD; harmonize monitoring and evaluation system of SGOD and create a work flow process of documents within the SGOD; and craft strategic plan for the next three years at, Brgy. Domoit, Lucena City.
SGOD Chief Epifania F. Carandang presented the rationale of the midyear assessment and highlighted the importance of cooperation in the group to achieve the contributions of the SGOD to the Schools Division in the attainment of the division goals.
Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Joepi F. Falqueza emphasized the indispensable role of the use of only one language in achieving one’s goal through retelling the story of the tower of Babel. It was paralleled to the individual goals which should be in harmony to the Schools Division strategic directions.
Planning Officer III Rolan B. Aldovino facilitated the discussion of the Division Education Development Plan (DEDP). He shared and explained the strategic directions set by the Schools Division in the next six years to address the priority issues and concerns raised by its performance in the past years. SGOD personnel were tasked to develop a strategic plan individually which should be aligned to the Division strategic directions and their respective Key Result Areas (KRA’s). In addition, Aldovino talked about harmonizing the SGOD process flow and tools. He presented the SGOD overall process flow that determines the reports and outputs of each section, the corresponding sources of data, mode of verification and usual causes of delay. Likewise, Karina R. Bautista, SEPS-Monitoring & Evaluation, discussed the SGOD processes in the context of M&E framework and the different process flows in the request for Authority to Travel, submission of Project Proposal, Accomplishment Reports and preparation of News Article. The DEDP monitoring tool was also presented.
Open forum and clarifications from the group were raised and answered when Pascual C. La Rosa, EPS-Human Resource and Training Development, presented the AIP of the SGOD. (Azalea A. Gallano, SEPS-Planning & Research)
