Gulanggulang National High School (GNHS) – Ibabang Talim Extension conducted a Senior High School Work Immersion program which was participated by parents, partner agencies, students, stakeholders and SDO officials at Barangay Ibabang Talim, Lucena City last July 28.
Gilbert C. Alva, Senior High School (SHS) Focal Person, presented the rationale and different activities included in the program. A total of 42 parents, eight partner agencies, 10 stakeholders, six SDO officials, and 97 senior high school students from Grade 11 and Grade 12 attended the program.
Alva acknowledged the eight partner agencies and seven stakeholders. Each partner agency shared their expertise on how they will contribute on the development of the students’ skills and knowledge while having their immersion in their respective office. Among the present partner agencies represented by the following dignitaries during the work immersion program were Lupo T. Telan from Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Province of Quezon), Cesario M. Sabandana from City Agriculture Office (Lucena City), Bobby Manalo from Rice and Mill Research Center (Brgy. Ibabang Talim, Lucena City), and Ma. Leonellie G. Dimalaluan from Provincial Agriculture Office (Province of Quezon).
Also present were Alwin M. Uy from National Food Authority (Province of Quezon), Philippine Coconut Authority (Regional Office Region IV-A), Engr. Arlene V. Vallejos and Engr. Johnny Pasatiempo from Provincial Engineering Office (Province of Quezon), and Local Government Units such as Brgy. Ibabang Talim, Brgy. Ilayang Talim, Brgy. Salinas, Lucena City, and Brgy. Antipolo, Sariaya Quezon.
As one of the stakeholders of the school Paul Lawrence C. Rodriguez and Denise Maree M. Rodriguez, Edgar Lavarro, Michelle Lavarro, Marvin Poblete, and Mark Anthony S. Supremo commenced the program.
Arcelito M. Aliento Jr. discussed the work immersion guidelines, related ideas and information about the work immersion. While Arlene L. Mendoza, Officer-in-Charge, congratulated all SHS teachers for making the program possible and a success.
Meanwhile, OIC-Asst. Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Joepi F. Falqueza, EPS-AP Myla K. Mendiola, EPS- Values Education Jaime Lacerna, Public Schools District Supervisor Pablito R. Alay, EPS-II Social Mobilization and Networking Jane Barron, Principal I Rodolfo A. Sena Jr., OIC-Gulanggulang National High School Arlene L. Mendoza, students, and parents of Grade 12 witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the different partner agencies.
