It also provided opportunities to explore creative photography that would be useful in the design of attractive and effective instructional materials. Furthermore, the training enhanced the photojournalistic skills of school paper advisers which could be utilized to further improve journalism in schools.

Basic photography techniques like composition, lighting, exposure, and portraiture were discussed. The participants were introduced with the many advantages of digital photography not only in capturing special memories but also in enhancing instructional materials and teaching-related documents.

Using their DSLR cameras and smartphones, the participants took photographs of their own interests and showcased them on the gallery at the end of the training. Through this activity, the participants were able to share learning, exchange approaches, and refine practice. (Levin R. Pabriaga, Mambog Elementary School)
