Schools with Special Interest Program for Culture and Arts (SIPCA) staged its first culminating activity dubbed as “TALIM: Talentong Lipenong Maipagmamalaki” held at Lipa City Youth and Cultural Center last March 17.

Showcasing the talents of the students enrolled in the school with SIPCA, the activity highlighted the History, Socio-Cultural, Social Services and Education and Urbanization of Lipa City which gathered cheers from the crowd.

With the theme “Huwarang Nakaraan, Salamin ng Magandang Kinabukasan”, teachers and students from public elementary and secondary schools in Division of Lipa witnessed the said activity. Lipa City Mayor Meynard A. Sibili together with Dr. Ludy N. Pasagui, School Division Superintendent Officer In-charge and Dr. Lorna R. Medrano, Chief of Curriculum Implementation Division watched the spectacular performance.

“Sobrang nag enjoy ako dahil nakita ko ang Lipa noon at ngayon kina Lolo Baste at Lola Lilia. Kaysarap balik-balikan ang magagandang alaala at kasalukuyang pagmasdan ang kaunlaran ng ating bayan,” Mark Laurence Fajilan, student from Lipa City National High School said.

Among the public elementary school performers are Gaudencio B. Lontok Memorial School and Pangao Elementary School headed by Mr. Benjo B. Desuangco and Mr. Edson P. Enrico, respectively.

Moreover, students from Lipa City National High School headed by Mr. Amiel Maldonado and Lodlod National High School led by Mr. Arlan Mendoza are the public secondary schools’ performers.

Dr. Annie C. Atienza and Ms. Editha M. Malihan, Eduction Program Supervisors In-charge of SIPCA spearheaded the said activity.

The said activity ran twice. Morning was scheduled for public elementary schools while the afternoon session was for public secondary school.

With a P50 ticket fee, proceeds of the show will be used for the improvement of the SIPCA school programs. (Benjo Desuangco, Teacher III, Division of Lipa City)
