Junior Fire Marshal II was launched in Schools Division Office Lucena City in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection-Lucena City Fire Station and the City Government of Lucena at the Lucena City Hall, Lucena City on January16.

Seven selected Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers pledged during the Local Government Unit flag ceremony. The program aimed to educate the students on basic fire safety measures, fire hazard identification, and basic emergency response through lectures, fun, and engaging games as well as emergency simulation exercises.

Lucena City National High School (LCNHS), LCNHS-Mayao Parada Extension, Gulang-Gulang National High School (GNHS) -Ilayang Talim Extension, Lucena Dalahican National High School (LDNHS) and Cotta National High School (CNHS) participated with twenty (20) participants per school.

Participants will attend a series of training, once a week in their respective schools from January to March 2017 on a scheduled and approved date by their respective school heads and the Schools Division Superintendent Aniano M. Ogayon. They are expected to serve as junior fire marshals in their schools and an advocate of fire safety and prevention in their homes, school and community.
