Scores of LGU and DepEd personalities graced the inauguration of the new San Pablo City DepEd building on 29 July 2016. Back in May 2014 the division office was razed by fire which prompted the DepEd officials to temporarily occupy the Library Hub. Present were Vice-Governor Karen Agapay, Mayor Loreto S. Amante, former Mayor Vicente B. Amante,  Councilors Ed Dizon and Arnel Ticzon, former SDS Dr. Ester C. Lozada, DPWH District Engineer Joeven Mendoza, and Assistant District Engineer Joven Calabia to name a few.

The blessing was started with the celebration of the Holy Mass by Rev. Fr. Gerry  Gaela followed by the program which consisted of the Opening Remarks of ASDS Dr. Merced B. Rienda. After Dr. Rienda’s, was the message of Mayor Loreto S. Amante wherein he stressed that when a door is closed, new and bigger doors will open as in the case of the DepEd building. Mrs. Susan DL. Oribiana also delivered her message to the delight of the audience, when she explained the reason behind her being branded as ‘Gabriela Silang of Region IV-A’. Words of appreciation by the CID Chief, Dr. Emelene C. Magtanong followed through an anecdote of seeing heaven pertaining to the good deeds of Mayor Amante in giving the building. The banquet was opened with the singing of the birthday song led by Paul Michael Cuadra, Executive Assistant of the Mayor, for the celebrant Ma’am Susan DL. Oribiana.

Two years was worth the wait because DepEd San Pablo City can now boast its three-storey building with complete office facilities. The 3rd floor which is the office of the SDS, ASDS and ITO also has one bedroom to accommodate guests.
