Lucena City – The 3rd Transparent, Ethical and Accountable (TEA) Governance Forum was conducted at the spacious Quezon Convention Center in this city on January 13, 2016 with the theme ‘Sustaining DepEd Transformation through TEA Governance’.

DepEd Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro FSC in his message as the keynote speaker emphasized that sustainability is one of the critical factors to any reform and that service must touch everyone’s heart. He also shared that things can be sustained and reforms will stay, the Philippines has no reason to say otherwise, and that it is critical to DepEd and  to the country to prove CALABARZON’s worth.  “CALABARZON is at the heart of the transformation of the Philippines having the youngest population and being the most educated region,” Sec. Luistro stressed.

His talk was followed by another inspiring speaker, Mr. Schubert Ceasar C. Austero who discussed ‘Nurturing Creativity and Innovation as Critical Competencies in the New World’. He said, “Many other things happened because of a problem and the creativity to turn this problem into a wonderful opportunity sustains change and magnetize courage and integrity.”

This was supported by Atty. Alexander L. Lacson’s presentation that stressed on the importance of educators. According to Atty. Lacson, “Educators are builders of the greatness of the Filipino people.  They have the power to mold in a great way the minds and the hearts of the future generations, of our leaders and of our citizens, of this country- the great Philippines that we all dream about.”

Quezon Province Governor David C. Suarez was present to welcome the guests and the more than 2000 audience which was headed by DepEd 4A Regional Director Diosdado M. San Antonio and Asst. Reg. Dir. Beatriz G. Torno together with the Schools Division Superintendents, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, Chiefs of Divisions at the Regional and Division Officers, Education Program Supervisors, Planning Officers, Senior Education Program Specialists, Education Program Specialists, Project Development Officers, Public Schools District Supervisors and School Heads from all over CALABARZON Region.
