Spearheaded by Cynthia A. De Luna, EPS in Special Events, and Editha M. Malihan, EPS in Araling Panlipunan, and in cooperation with the Lipa City Association of Public School Teachers and Employees, Inc., headed by Rosalinda K. Nishikawa, the working committees crafted activities for the grand celebration of DepEd Lipa City’s 50th Founding Anniversary.

From July 2018, the working committees formed teams who would serve as focal teams for individual aspects of the celebration like Research, Cultural Presentation, Mr. and Ms. DepEd Lipa, Sports Fest, Media Promotion and Public Affairs, Food, Registration, Finance and Logistics, Contest Administration, Documentation, Ways and Means, Physical Facilities and Decorations, Lights and Sounds, Souvenir Programs, Awards and Recognitions, Band Performance, Medical Services, Photo Booth, Exhibit, and Motorcade.

Each event was manned by a committee of consultants, chairpersons and members who worked collaboratively as SDO personnel, school heads, and teachers became one in the commemoration of DepEd Lipa City’s golden years.

Plans were consulted to the executive committee members for approval considering the significance, appropriateness, and technicalities of the activities.

Themed: Paggunita sa Pag-usbong hanggang sa Pagyabong, the celebration aimed to get a better understanding of the past and have a comprehensive history available at SDO; revisit its humble beginnings for teachers and learners to appreciate; and contribute meaningfully towards achieving another quality education to every Lipeño learner.
