Consistent to its pursuit to sustain, empower, and innovate for quality service delivery, DepEd Cavite subjected its internal quality auditors (IQAs) and document custodians (DCs) in a series of retooling training workshops.
Headed by Division Librarian Leonila Custodio, 15 unit document custodians (UDC) were updated on techniques in establishing and maintaining a document control system, December 3-4.
Michael Manaloto of Macro Vision Consultancy (MVC) gave a comprehensive review on the Department and the Standards’ records management provisions and presented an online document filing system which the UDCs operated during one of the workshops.
On the other hand, Margel A. Jajurie, MVC president, refreshed the participants’ knowledge on the types of documents and how each shall be managed more efficiently.
Meanwhile, DepEd Cavite’s IQAs became 46-strong as 27 new auditors, along with 19 existing auditors, passed MVC’s certifying exam during the potential IQAs’ training, retooling of existing IQAs, and root cause analysis training-workshop last November 12-14.
By 2019, SDS Cherrylou D. Repia aims to have 80% of the Division personnel undergo in-depth training on internal quality auditing to boost the team’s accountability and commitment in upholding the quality management system. (Rey Ann M. Maramag, PDO I/ DAIO, DepEd Cavite Province)
