To establish the culture of research in the division, DepEd Tayabas held its Research Presentation and Writing Workshop with the theme, “Schools Division of Tayabas City: Championing Research Initiatives for Information and Transformation” at Tayabas East Covered Court, September 12-14.

Luzviminda Saludares, Division Research Coordinator headed the event with the Division Research Team and Officers of Teacher-Researchers Association in the Division of Tayabas City (TRAin. C) which was led by its president Leonard Lubiano.

The three-day activity sponsored by the division gathered more than a hundred teaching and non-teaching research enthusiasts from the division of Tayabas City who submitted their proposed action researches prior to the training.

Activities of the said event included presentation of completed action researches by Michael Leonard Lubiano, Charlyn Amparo, Ferdinand Glor, Karmela A. Veluz and Larvin O. Labrada, as well as presentation of on-going studies by Raquel Reyes and Glenda Capistrano.

Seasoned Division Researchers like Dr. Christian Bables, Luzviminda Saludares, Dr, Joseph Jay Aureada, Ferdinand Glor, Marvin Rosales and Georgia Talabong delivered their short talks in conducting action research and facilitated the attendees’ writeshop.

Participants were also given research coaching and mentoring by the assigned Education Program Supervisors.

The three-day training ended with presentations of research proposals by select participants and critiquing led by SDO’s research experts and Schools Division Superintendent Catherine Talavera. (Regicelle D. Cabaysa, Master Teacher I, Stand Alone SHS)
