To recognize the exemplary performance exhibited by the teachers and employees of Luis Palad Integrated High School, the school conducted its Gawad Paladian 2018 at Queen Margarette Hotel, Lucena City, September 26.

Gawad Paladian is a school-based recognition program, which is on its 5th year of commendable implementation, through the leadership of the school principal, Gener C. Delos Reyes.

This year’s celebration was attended by DepEd CALABARZON Regional Director Diosdado A. San Antonio, serving as guest speaker. His message inspired and motivated all the Paladians.  He thanked the teachers for helping DepEd in realizing its dream for every youngster to become productive citizens of the country by offering them the best opportunities to learn.

Present also in the event were City Mayor Ernida A. Reynoso, Tayabas City’s Schools Division Superintendent Catherine P. Talavera, Kiwanis International Philippines Luzon District, School Governing Council, and LPIHS-PTA Officers.

Both teaching and non-teaching personnel were awarded. Loyalty Award for 35 years in service was given to Rowena P. Cabrera. While award for 30 years in service was given to Jose P. Abellanosa, Gemma P. Abellanosa, Maria Concepcion R. Moreno, Felisa P. Rosilla, and Cristeta P. Javier.

Most Punctual Award went to Nixon R. Capati (Non-Teaching), Isabelo Cuarto (Teaching), and Elsa Isaga (Teaching). In addition, Josephine B. Ramos, Amelia B. Villenas, and Garry S. Villaverde received the Best Research of the Year award.

The Dangal ng Paaralan Award went to Garry S. Vilaverde, Jojo J. Oabel, Josephine V. Cabulong, Arlene A. Racelis, Tesalonica C. Abesamis, Michaela R. Rada, Maria Madel C. Rubia, Rommel C. Paderagao, Nescie Garcia, and Pauline J. Vital.

Meanwhile, teachers Roda R. Hernandez, Gerardo P. Laguador, and Laarni Q. Lachica were declared as Best Performing Class Advisers. The Outstanding Teacher award was given to Niel Orven P. Talavera and Richilyn S. Pagana. While Geraldine M. Constantino received the Principal’s Excellence Award.

Other awards included Best Performing Guidance Counselor for Scarlet A. Delos Santos; Best Performing Department Head for Maria Teresa P. Palma, and Outstanding Employee for Gemma M. Abellanosa.

Other highlights of the event were the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between LPIHS and its stakeholders regarding MANA Rice for School-Based Feeding Program and the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected School Governing Council Officers and Councilors. (Jojo J. Oabel, Teacher I, LPIHS)
