DepEd CALABARZON conducts regional training of trainers in RPMS

Recognizing the importance of Results – Based Management System (RPMS), the Human Resource Development Division of DepEd CALABARZON conducted the Regional Training of Trainers (RTOT) for the Results – Based Performance Management System (RPMS) at Sunrise Hotel, Tagaytay City, July 11-13.

145 participants from different divisions were trained to establish a pool of trainers on how to conduct training effectively, to have an in-depth understanding on the RPMS Manual, and develop proposed action plans for their respective divisions.

The training also emphasized and focused on Philippine Professional Standard for Teachers, RPMS Tools, Self-Assessment, Classroom observation tools, Portfolio Preparation, Annotation, and Portfolio Assessment.

Participants said “Updated and accurate information was provided to us and we could use these to contribute to the quality of education’. Facilitators Strategies used in this three-day training period were appropriate to the attendees. Sharing of best practices and knowledge during the sessions made the discussions more meaningful and lively.

The training was made possible by the Training Management Team, headed by Regional Director Diosdado San Antonio, HRDD Chief Luz E. Osmeña, Education Program Supervisor Viernalyn Nama, the Philippine National Research Center for Teacher Quality (RCTQ), and Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Division-Human Resource Development Division Team (Maricris R. Tadioan, Education Program Specialist II, DepEd CALABARZON)
