Tayabas SDO recognizes stakeholders through Piging ng Pasasalamat

230 stakeholders from private and public sectors were invited in a thanksgiving dinner and were awarded for their contributions during the conduct of Brigada Eskwela 2017 and Adopt-a-School Program at TECS Covered Court, Tayabas City.

Piging ng Pasasalamat is a 2-year-old event aimed to solidify participation and engagement with the community, recognize stakeholders’ contributions and strengthen partnership to build continuous support system.

Among the attendees were Tayabas City Mayor Ernida Agpi Reynoso, Councilor Lovely Reynoso, PTA Federation President and City Councilor Wenda Saberola-De Torres, PTA Federation Vice President Imelda Pabulayan, Major Joe Esquinas and representatives from various private organizations and non-goverment organizations such as Tantuco Enterprise, Miracle Farm, M Lhuiller, Manila Teachers, City Savings Bank, Raquel Pawnshop and so on.

Regional Education Program Supervisor Andrea Mabel Abrencillo cited that among the 20 divisions she had been, “Piging ng Pasasalamat is one of a kind event where the gratitude for the support and participation of the community is recognized.”

Schools Division Superintendent Catherine P. Talavera expressed and extended gratitude to the stakeholders through her inspirational message. Assistant Schools Division Superintendent explained the meaning of “Gawad Katig” and its impact to the Tayabense learners.

Aside from the celebration of partnership, Division Brigada Eskwela 2017 Best Implementing schools were also awarded with certificates, medals, and plaques for their achievements. Brigada Eskwela Milestones were also showcased as names of winning schools were called out.

Malao-a Calantas Elementary School was proclaimed the winner for Small School Category, Tayabas West Elementary School II for Medium School Category, Tayabas East Central School I for the Large School Category, and Luis Palad Integrated School as Highest Resource Generated for the Secondary.
