CID, OIC - ASDS praise PLP developers, emphasize impartiality among DepEd ranks

LIPA CITY, Batangas – The Schools Division of Lipa City Curriculum Implementation Division honored the teacher-writers and evaluators who had helped design, create, and realize Project Prototype Lesson Plan (PLP) for Grade 5, during an awarding ceremony at the Luntian Resort and Restaurant last March 21.

CID Chief Education Supervisor Lorna R. Medrano, before the presence of OIC – Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Homer N. Mendoza, led the giving of certificates of recognition to the educators behind the completion of the division-wide PLP for all grade five subjects, an initiative of the CID which had been conceived during the conduct of K-12 training for Grade 5 teachers last year.

“The CID, on behalf of every grade five teacher in the division, expresses gratitude towards everyone who had exerted immeasurable efforts and sacrifices,” the Chief ES – CID said during her Statement of Purpose.

Medrano also cited the teacher-writers and evaluators of the PLP in MAPEH 5 for their work, having been certified and recognized by the DepEd – CALABARZON Regional Office in November.

The PLP teacher-writers were carefully chosen from grade 5 teachers across the division while the evaluators were a mix of head teachers, Public Schools District Supervisors, and Education Program Supervisors who had undergone specialized training on Curriculum Development.

Meanwhile, OIC-ASDS Mendoza stressed that every DepEd personnel’s position is only as relevant as the fulfilment of their duties.

“Each individual effort counts in the fulfilment of our collective goal. One’s title is but a role to fulfil,” Mendoza explained.

Furthermore, the OIC – ASDS highlighted how the Project PLP has made first year of implementing the K-12 curriculum in grade 5 convenient.

The CID also recognized the authors of the best Daily Lesson Log (DLL) and Daily Lesson Plan (DLP) for MAPEH 1 to 5 and MSEP 6 before wrapping up the event.  (Erwin M. Badiola, Teacher I – San Jose ES, DepEd Lipa City)
