Tech4ED Center opens in San Pablo City
San Pablo City’s Paaralang Pag-ibig at Pag-asa became one of the newest beneficiaries of the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s Technology for Economic Development (Tech4ED) Center last February 9.
Tech4ED is the eSociety Group of DICT which brings Internet opportunities and invests in people through digital literacy. This eSociety strengthens the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to open opportunities to the underserved and marginalized. The project further aims to provide internet connection through TV White Space (TVWS) Technologies and establish Tech4ED Centers as knowledge hubs and delivery channels of government services, digital literacy trainings, alternative learning for basic education, skills training for livelihood and employment, job portals and online marketplace.
Through this center, the special children of the school will be able to enjoy learning contents through interactive approaches so that they can further express themselves. Furthermore, the technology will help them work and make research on the different learning portals and contents.
Among those present in the opening were Director of the Department of Information and Communications Technology –Luzon Cluster 2 Cheryl C. Ortega and also from the Teach4ED team, Mario Antonio Aya-Ay, Manuel Satuito, Wilson Censon, Emil Taganna, and Roselle Dalupang.
Witnessing the event were Ambry District Supervisor Doris B. Ortega and Information Technology Officer I from the Division of San Pablo City Felipe V. Baldemoro witnessed the event.
