With the vision of intensifying counseling and response system for troubled teenagers, the first Teen Health Kiosk in Lipa was launched in Lipa City National High School on Aug 12.

It is with the thrust to promote awareness of teen health that Lipa City Health Office partnered with DepEd Lipa in the establishment of Teen Health Kiosk. During the launching ceremony, City Health Officer Myrna Castillo discussed that the kiosk shall be a channel where teenagers may share their problems concerning health, peer pressure, bullying and social interactions among others.

Moreover, Principal Armando Adaya stressed the relevance of choosing the school as the pilot center in Lipa since it is the biggest secondary school in the city. He mentioned that the kiosk will be a great agent in providing assistance to students when it comes to addressing their problems. He said that the school regards it as an opportunity to be of noble service to the youth through the kiosk.

In addition, DepEd Lipa ASDS Homer Mendoza acknowledged the importance of the program because the youth should be protected since they are the future catalysts of change. He expressed hope that there shall be more schools in the division to adopt the same program.

The Teen Health Kiosk is a corner inside the school clinic managed by health teachers who serve as advisers and student leaders who act as peer counselors.
