Results-Based Performance Management System (RPMS) roll-out in the Schools Division of (SDO)-Lucena capacitated 95 selected SDO personnel and all school heads in the “Division RPMS Performance Planning and Evaluation Training”  at Nawawalang Paraiso Resort and Hotel, Brgy. Camaysa, Tayabas City on July 8.

The rationale of RPMS in the Department of Education (DepEd) supports the Vision, Mission and Values of the agency as it continuously endeavors to evolve as a learner- centered public institution. It is the Human Resource Operations Division (HRDO) intervention that will help ensure the strategic responsive and effective delivery of Human Resource Management and Development (HRMD) services of all levels of DepEd so that it can effectively implement a learner-centered, school-based management system and the K to 12 strategies to improve the quality of education in public schools.

The training-workshop aimed to build skills of the selected  Performance Management Team (PMT) in crafting good performance objectives and indicators; enhance capability of the raters in evaluating performance and guide the PMT in analyzing the competencies and in crafting individual development plans of employees.

“Privilege is a gift not bestowed to all of us…, it is our privilege to serve our constituents; love them as our co-workers; lead them the right way and in accomplishing their work in the right way”, said Dr. Joepi F. Falqueza in his opening remarks.

Dr. Aniano M. Ogayon, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent, reminded the participants that their crafted OPCRF must be congruent to the Key Strategies namely; Pro-active Child Mapping; Team-based delivery; ICT- enabled system; Needs-based capacity; and Sustainable partnership linkages.

Dr. Epifania F. Carandang, SGOD Chief, Mrs. Josephine T. Natividad, CID Chief, Mr. Rolan B. Aldovino, Planning Officer III and Mr. Rufo S. La Rosa trained the participants on RPMS with sub-topics on Performance Development Planning and Analyzing Development Need; Discussions of procedures during planning stage; Giving Effective Performance Feedback and Rewards.

Based from the result of the on-line Program Evaluation Tool of the M&E Section, the training-workshop was assessed as a successful one with an overall rating of 4.55. Mr. Rolan B. Catapang and Mr. Pascual La Rosa Jr. facilitated the training.
