Six TLE Teachers pull off TESDA Trainers Accreditation

To continuously equip the Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) teachers, Dr. Edwina C. Nabo the Education Program Supervisor in-charge of the learning area proposed a training program on TRAINERS METHODOLOGY LEVEL I. They underwent 264 hours training conducted at Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades, San Antonio, City of Biñan, Laguna. Through the generous support of the City Government of Santa Rosa, six (TLE) teachers namely: Christopher Alpasa, Jennifer Uy, Maricel Saguinsin, Ma. Elisa Eden, Maribel Reccion and Wilson Mendoza were the beneficiaries of the said program. Each teacher received nine thousand seven hundred pesos (Php9,700.00) for the payment of their tuition fees.

The TRAINERS METHODOLOGY LEVEL I consists of competencies that a TVET trainer must achieve. A TVET trainer is a person who enables a learner or a group of learners to develop competencies to performing a particular trade or technical work.

The six TLE teachers have successfully completed the competency requirements under the Philippine TVET trainers Qualification System (PTTOS) for Trainer Methodology Certificate (TMC) Level 1.  Aside from the six TLE teachers mentioned above there are other four teachers who finished the TMC Level 1 course. They are Rowena Cruz, Shiela Cuento and Diosdado Villeta of Don Jose National High School and Girlie Pineda of Santo Domingo National High School. Their tuition fees were taken from the staff development funds of their respective schools.

Last May 17, 2016 the groups had the chance to present their certificates to Sta. Rosa City SDS Helen Ramos and a photo opportunity with her.
