Dr. Diosdado M. San Antonio, Regional Director, spearheaded the Transparent, Ethical and Accountable Governance Forum among the Schools Division Superintendents, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, and School Heads of Divisions of Lucena City and Quezon (4th congressional district) during the Consultative Conference on Transparent, Ethical and Accountable School-Based Management (C2TEA-SBM) held at Graceland Estates and Country Club, Barangay Camaysa,Tayabas City, May 16.

In the forum, Dr. San Antonio tackled the 21st Century Leadership, Strategic Directions, DepEd Strategic Planning Framework and Major Challenges. He discussed the School-Based Management, SBM Conceptual Framework, SBM-PASBE Operational Framework, SCOUTERS ROCK and TEA Governance Elements. He pointed out the Common Complaints, Highly Recommended Actions, Prohibited Actions, Highly Discouraged Actions, My Ideal Leader, Peterson’s Behavioral Drift Model, and DepEd Core Values.

Participants spent time to respond on the factors that hinder them from implementing SCOUTERS ROCK in their schools, how they overcome these hindrances, their other ideas to sustain TEA-SBM in DepEd CALABARZON, and how the Regional Office can serve them better.

Dr. San Antonio acted on the participants’ hindrances by giving judicious ideas and actions on how to overcome such interferences. He energized each and every participant by discussing quotations of John Wooden and Margaret Chase Smith on caring and doing the right way.

The C2TEA-SBM aimed to determine common challenges faced in implementing TEA Governance; identify steps to surmount these challenges; and commit to deliver high quality K to 12 basic education services for the youngsters in CALABARZON.
