Continuous Improvement Program at RO
The Regional Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) team along with 7 other teams from various divisions attended the weekly coaching held at the Learning Resources Management and Development System (LRMDS), DepEd Regional Office, Cainta, Rizal on 8 January 2016.
Coached by Mr. Ismael C. Pangilinan, more popularly known as Sir Bong to the participants, a CI specialist and consultant, capably shared his expertise and ideas to discuss the different concerns and issues regarding their projects. The team agreed to meet every Friday for six months at NEAP Training Center in Malvar, Batangas as part of the requirements to complete the CI training.
Aside from the regional team, the other teams are from the Divisions of Batangas Province, Calamba City, Cavite Province, Imus City, Lipa City, Lucena City and Quezon Province. Each team is composed of 5 members.
Members of the Regional CI Team are Jerome A. Chavez (team leader), Lilia A. Ricero (scribe), Elino S. Garcia (communications), Michael Girard R. Alba (documentation) and Edenia O. Libranda (process observer and CI regional coordinator). Rey M. Valenzuela of the ICT Unit is a new member of the team. The team was formed during the CI Nationwide Training sponsored by Basic Education Sector Transformation (BEST) held at Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas on December 7-11, 2015. BEST is a DepEd partner supported by the Australian government.
As its initial project, the team proposed to improve the online submission of documents for the renewal of government permit of private school operations.
Through the methodology of continuous improvement, it is hoped that quality will be achieved and systematic development of processes in the educational arena will be given focused and priority. Results of the projects will be presented in a symposium in July during the culmination of the six-month coaching period.
