9th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad 2012, India

The International Mathematics and Science Olympiad is a yearly activity that showcases the skills of children from different countries. This year, it was held at the City Montessori College, RDSO Campus, Manak Nagar, Lucknow India on October 26 to November 2, 2012. The Philippine team was represented by DepEd Region IV-A and the Mathematics Teachers’ Guild of DepEd NCR. The delegation from DepEd CALABARZON was composed of Dr. Erico M. Habijan, Chief EED/CLMT as team leader, Mr. Dominador J. Villafria and Mrs. Luz Osmeña as official tutors in Mathematics and Science respectively, twelve (12) contestants, six (6) Mathematics and six (6) Science from the different Divisions Lipa, Tanauan, Batangas Province, Dasmariñas, Cavite Province, Rizal, Laguna and Calamba  (public and private schools), three (3) Superintendents, two (2) Asst. Superintendents, two (2) Supervisors as chaperons/supporters, and five (5) teacher advisers in Math and Science. Inspired by the prayers and words from the Regional Director, Lorna Dig Dino, and the whole DepEd CALABARZON, Mathematics and Science contestants (Elementary level) in both Public and Private garnered silver and bronze medals in the competition exhibited as follows:
